How Long Is a Cleard.life Qualification Valid?
There is no standard time frame that the result is valid – a Cleard.life Assessment is a ‘point in time’ check, meaning the results only reflect the result on the date that the check is released. The sponsoring organisation typically determines the acceptable length of time as this can vary.
What Is A Cleard.life Qualification?
A Cleard.life background qualification, also known as a Suitability Clearance, is the process whereby an individual is interviewed and an assessment is made as to their honesty, trustworthiness, tolerance, maturity, loyalty and resilience (HTTMLR) – using the character standards set by the Attorney General’s department. With more than 350,000 assessments completed using these standards, it provides an excellent suitability standard to be measured against.

What Are The Costs Of A Cleard.life Assessment?
There is the single cost for the required Assessment, less discounts. There are a number of "addons" which the Sponsor can choose from. For organisations that require more than 500 checks per year, we can customise our Assessments further.
How Do I Pay For The Cleard.life Qualification?
Individuals don’t. Sponsoring organisations pay for the Cleard.life check.
How Is the Cleard.life Qualification Result Delivered?
The result is delivered only to specific need-to-know personnel at the sponsoring organisation - either via email or API or portal.
What Ages Can Get A Cleard.life Qualification?
You must be over 16 years of age.
What ID Requirements are there?
None. As your sponsoring organisation is paying for the Check, they should have already verified and be satisfied with your identity. After you submit your Statutory Declaration to the organisation, they will issue you an activation code that only Cleard.life, you & the organisation has access to.
How Long Does the Suitability Assessment Interview (SAI) last?
Depending on the level of service, approximately 1 or 2 or 4 hours.
How Long Will It Take To Get The Cleard.life Qualification Result?
Normally within 1 or 2 business hours after the interview has been completed and Quality Assured.
Can I Appeal An Adverse Decision?
No. Our Result forms only one part of decision making process of your Sponsor. You agree to this element in the Statutory Declaration.
How Long Will you Hold Onto My Information?
After the Result has been sent, we de-identifying personal information from the interview. Sometimes Sponsoring organisations require 14 days after the result for the interview notes to be destroyed, other times the sponsoring organisation requires a third-party audit to verify contractual compliance, which takes longer for destruction. Either way, your details are safe.
Can A Cleard.life Clearance Be Used To Apply For Other Jobs/Employers?
Not at this stage. Because the organisation ‘owns’ the Result they would be the ones to release it with the individual’s consent.
Can This Cleard.life Suitability Clearance Be Used For the AGSVA Security Clearance purposes?
Our private sector Assessments (the interview, analysis and results) are never passed on to the AGSVA which is confirmed in the Stat Dec that you sign. In the Cleard.life public sector assessment, please check your Stat Dec for disclosure rules and information sharing process.
