I was guilty in one charge of unlawful assault as a result of domestic spat (without any conviction as mentioned in latest police check). Will this be a problem for me?
Q. I am planning to work as a consultant for a public sector job. They are going to apply for my NV1 security clearance. I currently work for a third party company.
I am bit worried about the outcome because:
1) I was guilty in one charge of unlawful assault as a result of domestic spat (without any conviction as mentioned in latest police check). Will this be a problem for me?
2) My employer doesn't know about this as this happened after I joined my consultancy. I need to know what is included in the result of the check?
Please advise me on the above points. As its very disturbing for me and this situation had put my career at stake.
ANSWER: A pre-security clearance check will make things more certain. Have the employer make contact with us, to allow you to go through a cleard.life assessment, with an official vetting practitioner, advice delivered by a national security vetting agency leader. The details and your answers will never be disclosed to the employer yet they will have actionable intelligence - with 3 days and before going through the entire official process.
